For Menswear and Kidswear, you need to measure your around chest and refer to the available size chart in the desired item page, as the size chart often varies based on the design and type of item you are opting for. 

The size chart of each of the item category is based on the around chest/ bust measurement. Eg: If your around bust is 36 inches, you must select size 36 of the desired item, however, for Menswear and Kidswear, there are certain items which are worn a little loose and not body fitted.

Therefore, you must measure your around chest and look for the size chart on the item page and select the size which reflects your measured chest size. Eg: If size chart reflects chest size of 32 and then 34 while you measured yourself to be 32.5 inches, you must select the size reflecting chest size as 34 inches.

We basically have 2 options where in you would need your size:-

1. Ready to wear

2. Made to Measure

Made to measure is the most comprehensive one where in we need maximum specifications in order to deliver a perfect customized fit where as in Ready to wear, only basic specifications (Around Bust, Blouse Length and Sleeve Length) are required.

In stitching we have 2 options i.e. Ready to wear and Made to measure.

In case you opt for Ready to wear, you would have to select the size from the available sizes at the time of placing an order.

However, in case you opt for Made to measure, you may place an order without submitting the measurements. Once you select Made to measure you would see an option stating "Submit Measurement Later". You can click on the same and proceed further.

Yes, we do accept the request if the product has not been sent for stitching.

Readymade size implies customizing the outfit in as shown style based on bust size only. All other parameters are in accordance with the bust size.

On the other hand, Made to measure option involves customizing the outfit with a detailed personalized measurements and specifications like Fit (Ex - Waist, Arm hole, Shoulder etc.), Style (Ex - Neck Style, Sleeve Style etc.) and Adornment (Ex - Tassels, Fancy Hangings etc.)

Yes, you can surely get the blouse in larger size or with longer length. However, the same can be customized using Plain Matching Fabric and may not be available as shown.

You may request for the additional requirement in the "customer comment" box available in the measurement form during order placement.

Else, you may touch base with our customer service team to get the detailed understanding on the additional fabric and the price incurred, if any.

Yes. We can certainly remove the stitching or customization request from your order, until the item has not been sent for stitching.

Loosening is the extra ease with which a garment is stitched to give a comfort fit.

Margin is the seam provided inside the garment after the stitching edge / line which gives the flexibility for any kind of alteration in future.

We do provide 1-1.5" margins for future alteration possibilities in all our Customizable and Semi Stitched Items.

Regular fit means the garment will be tailored exactly as per the provided / submitted measurements.

In case one prefers some loosening, we recommend them to go for Comfort fit.

Bottom / Pant in Ready to Wear apparel comes with a Standard Length of 40 inches for all Salwar / Patiala / Palazzo and Straight pants.

Churidar comes in Standard length of 50 inches (10 inches extra is added to provide gathers at the ankle part).

NOTE : In case of any further customization, please mention the requirement in our Special Instruction box which appears in the “Thank You” page while placing the order. Request will be attended as per fabric limitation.

Yes. Mostly we should be able to do it.

Sleeves can be provided in plain matching fabric as per your required length.

Mostly readymade items cannot be altered since they are fully stitched based on standard specifications.

However, for few items we can alter some measurement parameters like bust, waist and hip by 1-1.5" provided there is no work, no design and no pattern at side seams.

Kameez length and Sleeve length (if not sleeveless) can also be altered if there is simple border work in the kameez.

Normal short sleeves with length 3-4" can be added to almost all the readymade items, subject to style limitation.

Standard Sarees : Length of a standard saree is 5.50 meters, approximately 6 yards. Width of saree is 1.15 meters (approx.). Length of blouse fabric is 80 cms approx.

Lehenga style Saree :   430 x 110 cm (length x width) Approx 5 yards in length.

Lehenga Choli : Standard Lehenga fabric size is 3 mtrs approx. Choli fabric length is 1 mtrs approx. and Dupatta length is 2.50 mtrs approx.

Salwar Kameez : Standard Kameez length is 2.50 mtrs approx.. Bottom / Pants length is 2.5 mtrs approx. Dupatta length is 2.5 mtrs approx..

Dimensions of Abaya Style Kameez generally depends on item style/work. However, minimum fabric provided is 3 - 3.5 mtrs approx.

Petticoat is the Underskirt which one has to wear underneath the saree to tuck, pleat and drape the saree and prevent it from being see through.

The petticoat can be customised using the two measurement attributes - around waist and length of the petticoat from waist till ankle.

Please refer to the below images to get a look of the petticoat and how it is used to tuck a saree.

All our sarees come with matching petticoat which can be opted during order placement of the saree(s). Further, we do have a separate section for petticoat which will offer you a wide range of petticoats to opt for.

A Pre-stitched Saree is also called readymade saree, is a Ready-to-wear ensemble designed to be worn in a jiffy (15 seconds!) and as easily as a skirt. 

We stitch the Saree’s pleats at the center along with the Petticoat which gives the luxury of skipping the tuck, pleat-formation and Pallu adjustment. It looks as graceful as a normal saree and can be carried for long hours with utmost ease – ideal for both work and special occasions. 

Any Saree of your choice can be customized into a pre-stitched  by paying just $25.

Just opt for this service before adding the item into your shopping cart.

For stitching a Pre-stitched saree, we only need two attributes from our customers.

a) Waist , b) Length

NOTE : “ Waist” - Measure around waist keeping the tape straight from the back.

“Length” - Measure from waist till the desired length.

You need to measure the inner diameter / inner circumference of your existing bangle and select the size accordingly from our size chart.

If you do not have a bangle handy, you may use the technique depicted in the below image to measure your required bangle size.

To measure the around chest measurement, you need to put the measuring tape 1 inch below the armpit of one to the other as shown in the reference image below.

The sleeve length measurement is taken from the point of your shoulder (where you took the shoulder width measurement), following your arm down to where you want the sleeve to end.

The blouse length measurement is taken from the top of the shoulder following your body down to the point where you want your blouse to end .

Place the measurement tape from the waist and let it hang till the ankle of the bottom.

To measure the around chest for blouse, you need to put the measuring tape 1 inch below the armpit of one to the other.

Place the measuring tape on the shoulders and let the tape hang till the end of the kameez.

For any type of items, we would suggest you to check the ‘Size Chart’ to view detailed measurements against the available sizes.

The Kameez size / Choli size / Blouse size refers to the around bust size in inches.

For menswear, the size refers to the around chest size in inches.

For kids wear, the size refers to the age of the kid. Details are available in the size chart.

All items on our website comes in a specific size range basis the fabric limitations. We do display the available sizes in the drop down on the item page. Alternative you may also connect with our care team and we shall be more than happy to guide you on the same.

For ‘Readymade’ items, you can select your desired size from the ‘Size’ dropdown.

For ‘Customizable’ items, you can choose ‘Ready to Wear’ OR ‘Made to Measure’ option :

‘Ready to Wear’ :   You can select your desired size from the Kameez / Blouse / Choli size dropdown from the available sizes and the item will be stitched according to the measurements available in the size chart.

‘Made to Measure’ : Once you select this option, you can submit your measurements NOW or LATER . In case you submit the measurements NOW, you will be redirected to the U-Design form wherein you can provide your detailed measurement attributes and design.

In case you decide to submit the measurements LATER, you can complete the order and then login to your Utsav My Account . You can select the desired order number under the ‘ORDERS’ tab and submit the measurements accordingly.

A saree comes along with the blouse fabric. For petticoat, you need to pay additional charge.

A salwar kameez set comes with top (kameez), bottom (salwar) and a dupatta. 

A lehenga set consists of top (choli), bottom(skirt) and a dupatta.

For Menswear, you need to measure your around chest and refer to the available size chart in the desired item page. It is important to refer to the size chart because there might be variations in he same size based on the design and type of item you are opting for. 

Example: If your around chest is 36 inches, you must select size 36 of the desired item. 

If you refer to the size chart, for size 36, you will find the top chest as 40 inches. This extra room of 4 inches is provided for a comfort fit.

Dress material (unstitched) implies unstitched fabric only. The fabric will have to be stitched as per your requirement. You can get the same stitched by opting for our stitching services; else you can also get the outfit stitched at your end as well.

Semi-stitch implies unstitched fabrics in which styles are pre-constructed with pre-defined neck styles, sleeve style, sleeve length, neck depths & outfit length. You need to get such products stitched as per your requirements.

Ready to wear (standard stitching) implies customizing the outfit in as shown style based on bust size only. All other parameters are in accordance with the size chart.

Made to measure(custom tailoring) option involves customizing the outfit with a detailed personalized measurements and specifications like Fit (Ex - Waist, Arm hole, Shoulder etc.), Style (Ex - Neck Style, Sleeve Style etc.) and Adornment (Ex - Tassels, Fancy Hangings etc.) 

Pre-stitched saree makes saree wearing as simple as it can be. These sarees are already draped according to customer’s measurement and its just like putting on a skirt, without the fuss of tucking, pleating and adjusting the pallu length.

 In a Pre-stitched saree, the pleats are stitched as per customer’s waist size and it is closed with Hooks along with margin for future adjustments. Petticoat is stitched along with the saree.
